D’ALLEN PRETLOW

D’Allen Pretlow is the founder and CEO of DSDQ Fitness. A life long athlete, D’Allen played guard and linebacker, helping the Seventy First High School Falcons win two state championships. Coach D continued his football career at Fayetteville State University where he played defensive back.

D’Allen first began his fitness career as a group exercise instructor in 2004 when he was certified in Les Mills BodyPump and Spin. Eventually, he managed group exercise programming for YMCA in the Fayetteville and Hope Mills areas.

DSDQ Fitness was born in 2011. Coach D was determined to take the wellness of our community is his own hands. DSDQ’s first program, Biggest Loser, was a huge success. He created a community of over 75 people, led workouts in parks and at the rec centers, held weekly accountability meetings, and truly changed the lives of so many. This was just the beginning.

DSDQ thrived and continue to grow through DSDQ Elite Bootcamps that were held at Honeycutt Park for many years. In 2014, D’Allen knew the time had come to find a home for DSDQ Fitness. DSDQ had outgrown the parks and our community needed more. He opened his first gym and held several classes daily, including DSDQ’s very own signature GRIND and Fight Club classes. Coach D also started personal training and sports and conditioning services for young athletes.

One of Coach’s goals in opening a space for DSDQ is providing a safe space for youth to train and become better versions of themselves. D’Allen is passionate about fighting childhood obesity by educating our children in nutrition and the fundamentals of exercise.

D’Allen has worked with several athletes that moved on to play for D1 schools. He has extensive experience in training football, baseball, triathlete, and soccer athletes.

Coach D’s approach to training his clients is unique and effective. He works with clients to find the root cause of their struggles, and he guides through changing habits and leading a better and healthier lifestyle. He focuses on 3 main things: habits, behavior and environment. This philospophy has been proven effective time and time again.
